Meanings of connecting instructions:

• B+, + = charging current to battery + pole

• D-, B- = grounding to battery - pole/ground

• F = field in dynamos

• the generator requires magnetization, always magnetize the generator before use or if it has been dismantled or disconnected

• magnetisation (- earth)

1. remove wiring and drive belt if necessary
2. connect the battery -pole to the generator housing with a wire
3. connect the + pole of the battery to both terminals of the generator for about 5-10 seconds
4. note: the generator rotates when the wires are connected to the terminals, allow the generator to rotate smoothly
5. disconnect the wires from the generator

• Lucas systems from the 50s and 70s also used +-grounding

• magnetisation (+ earth)
